Viberg Boots - Page 930

I completely agree.  I also have some Alden shell and once they warm up after a few minutes, any pinky toe tightness disappears.  I do not believe a different size from stitch down is needed at all.

I would not change the size at all on this compared to my other bergs. Did you order the same size as other 2030?

Some 2030s fit fine and some are too tight on the side of the big toe.

2030 11.5 Notre Waxed Flesh - great. No toe pressure at all.
2030 11.5 Standard and Strange Boondocker: unwearable without thin dress socks. Sold.
2030 11.5 CXL PCT: a bit of pressure with medium socks but doesn't bother me.
2030 11.5 Coffee Chromepak plain toe: somewhere between the CXL PCT and the Boondocker. May have to get rid of them.

I had originally tried 12 in the Mr. Porter Nat CXL cap toe, and the length was good, but the overall volume in the heel and vamp was too much. DAMN MY DUCK FEET!

I like the 110 a lot but I need to wear the thickest socks I can so my feet are their snuggest. But with the half Japanese I need to wear my thin socks. Weird huh?...I think the 1035 fits me better than the 110....

I may be selling my 10.5 Garage Boots. I'm not 100% sure yet. Gotta give them another good look. They are slightly redundant with the half Japanese methinks, with jeans on and from the top and side views anyhow.

looking good.  i really love the 110 right now as well.  It's probably the best fitting last for my feet.

I also got the HJ and the garage boot.  i definitely needed a brown boot to beat but i hear what you're saying about overlap with the HJ.  my wife said the exact same thing.

re: socks...i've been having to wear socks on the thicker side of the spectrum for the garage boot simply because they are much heavier than the HJ.  makes foot feel better.

I'm currently wearing the garage boots around the house, waiting for the World Series( Go Thor!), and they really are stunning. Nice dark brown color. Interestingly, they fit better than my Fat Waxed and I can wear slightly thinner socks too. They aren't as clunky as the FW but that may be due to the commando sole on the FW.... I maybe laced the garages a little tighter than the FW.

Anyhow, I'll probably try on the h.j. later on and see how they look...

If all of the welts were blended as well as this and pronounced...the stitching gives it that viberg feel...I think they will do just fine with it.

Still a second row of unnecessary stitching on the welt would make it feel more like a Viberg

One last observation is I think I would have preferred bigger eyelets...this appears on quick inspection to be a round lace only boot. I could be wrong as I only spent a few minutes checking for construction issues

I agree with you on all points - the flat welt is done perfectly and blends far better than some of their storm/reverse welts. The eyelets on mine definitely feel too small as well - I had trouble getting the lace through a couple of them. In the grand scheme, not a big problem for me.

They are awesome boots. And I know exactly when I will wear them.

I've been wearing my garage boots all night watching the World Series and I keep looking down and I am loving them. The color, the last, the comfort, the look are outstanding. I like dainite better than commando. And I will be keeping them. And I am superstitious so I will be wearing them tomorrow for the Mets to win again.

If you don't send me $200 in the next 24 hours and pass this onto 7 other people, you will have bad luck.  Just sayin'.

I'm so happy! The mahogany shell fits great! I actually find the toe box roomier than my CXL versions. The color is amazing. It has such beautiful depth right out of the box. It seriously puts all my other shell to shame. inlove.gif

Congrats, happy to hear it...do you think the dainite sole is slightly different than prior..seems more rough and grippy than others I have gotten. Could be my imagination but would be thrilled if it was a compound change fir dainite

If my sending you $200 ensured the Mets beat KC tomorrow night, I'm totally in for that.

Hey Fok.

The Route 10's will be unlined, yes?

Was psyched to get the mahoghany boots last night after everyone's pics. Then found a defect on the boot that I'm pretty sure can't be fixed. Waiting to hear back from Drew to see what we can do.

I haven't had too much luck with viberg purchases recently.

Sorry to hear that...hope it works out for you. was it a shell finish issue or construction?
