I'll post a pic once I find a good one that shows my whole body for full clown-effect.

Curious - Is this more of a short guy w/ big feet thing?

I'm 5'5" w/ 8.5c brannock. My 7.5 2030 brown cxls look alright, but my size 8 2030 Brandys are on the edge of overwhelming my body. I'd have to imagine the 310 in a 7.5 would look pretty clownish.

Leave it to Styleforum to show me there's a world of 5'10" dudes with size 8 feet though... on them where the 2030 is truly dainty, the 310 might be a good look.

Hey Dugafola.

Are you referring to the Vibergs flat wax laces, or another companies.

Actually not quite. I'm 6'2 with size 10.5. Talk about clowns...

Of course, to each his own, it is a specific look like any such thing. I just don't think anyone wears them without them looking a bit like a costume, unless you actually work in them. Which you probably don't since they're not really work-safe boots...

And now comes the authenticity vs cultural appropriation problem that comes with this whole work wear fad we find ourselves enthralled in the past few years.

Fat waxed heading out on their maiden voyage. A day of horseshoes and kicking stuff.

This is some tough leather. It's going to take a long, concerted effort to get these bad boys patina'd out. But I do love 'em anyhow. I think they are going to fit my feet better(less front wiggle room) with thicker socks.

I received my slim waxed flesh boots last week. They're amazing.

Any thoughts on how to care for the brown waxed flesh? I would like to be able to wear these without any worries in any weather condition.

I have used Obenauf's HDLP to treat my Wolverine 1000 Miles and was happy with the results, on both my black and rust boots. I applied it only a couple times in the last 3 years, supplemented with occasional use of Filson Boot Oil. I wonder how it will affect the aging process with these.

I purchased some dust black derby shoes last year and they are in dire need of some polish. The color looks like deep chocolate brown. Anyone have any experience with a particular color to use on them? Seems like black would NOT be the right color.

Thanks in advance.

Since we've been talking about them, my still basically-new brown waxed flesh from Notre. Had these for about six months and try to wear them once or twice a week. I don't think they're even broken in yet, much less ready to show the kind of wear I'm hoping for. All in good time.

Half-Japanese....Used "Obenauf"s" too knock down the shine a little. Typical 110 fit, love it....

Enjoy
