I'll post a pic once I find a good one that shows my whole body for full clown-effect.

I do know what you mean.  It's not for everyone.  I wore mine for about a year before giving up on them just because the sizing was off and the heel too tall for me.  I liked the way they looked.  But I would tell people that I wanted a pair of boots that (1) my grandfather could have worn, and (2) looked like the sort of thing a cartoon character would fish out of a lake!  They do have that look, which is up my alley I must admit.

Isn't that 1940 service boot posted a few pages back a 310?

Hold the phone. Natty buff just arrived. Hands down the stiffest leather I have seen yet. Way exceeds expectations:

Yes indeed.  And is the perfect boot to my eye.

Still am in that camp. It's a sucky last. Never said I wouldn't wear it in the right make up. The leather is too amazing and trumps the dumb last.

That tobacco chamois looks great on the boot put up today but that gyw kills it for me....also think a commando or half commando would have been killer.

Like any piece, it's all about if it fits with your aesthetic and you feel confident wearing it. I wear my 310s all the time with straight leg or slight tapered jeans. They're a traditional work boot and definitely not for everybody. There are certainly enough 2030 last boots floating around.

I have them and I agree it is not the best looking last but it does fit much better out the box than 2030 and for this type of leather a more classic boot last works best.
