So, you had some wide waxed laces or did your shoes come with them. I guess you like them better than the thin round waxed laces?

Yeah, I put on some 45" 1000 Mile laces, which seem just right to me.

(Not that there's anything wrong with that..)

Just hit him with your purse.

Ok....

I may write Vibergs and get some wider laces.

Do you think those laces would be best on the garage and/or the fat waxed boots or better look the "square" leather laces shown in the pics here.

I like both. Just a matter of taste, and how you feel any given day I guess..

I'm having second thoughts about my sizing decision on the most recent round of GTMO.

I ordered the aged bark chukka in in a size 11 as I read that it's significantly larger than other lasts.

For comparison, an 11.5 on 2030 is good length wise but the toe box is a bit narrow. I barely fit into it.

11.5 on 1035 is absolutely perfect.

On Alden, I need either an 11, 11.5 or 12 on Barrie, depending on the construction and material.

Do you think I should have ordered an 11.5 instead on the 110 last? If so, is it too late to change it?

11.5 on 1035 is absolutely perfect. I'm an 11.5 on the narrow side of D.

I would.

I'm a 10.5 on the 1035 and its perfect.

My half J. and Garage boots on the 110 are 10.5 as well and are perfect too.

Vibergs and most posters advice is to keep the same size on all lasts, except on the 2030 to size up .5 if your feet are wide-ish as the toe box is narrower than other lasts.

Wigwam makes a great, durable boot sock. The thickest socks, though, are the pure alpaca wool socks. I haven't found anything thicker.

Half Japanese is no were near as nice as the inspiration pic was...I fully understand anyone not wanting to keep them....especially in a size 12.

Enjoy all....very sad I chickened out.
