meso looking good. You went with the thin laces and they look good there! I'll do the same....I agree about the color. The garage boots are a darker brown so coolio all around.

It's a different feel(for me at least) walking with the half Japanese shoes. There's like a "pivot point" or a rocking point at the point where the sole "curls" up. It doesn't bother me at all. Just a different feel.

First 110's and I love 'em.

Many thanks Fok. What a great GMTO round this was.

I can't wait for the fat waxed!

Received mine today too. Quite pleased with how it came out.

pics?

Unfortunately, it's been an insane week, with this, a trip for me to SF next week to meet with our tech partners, and the trunk show coming up (hope that some of you show up!)  I had essentially no time to take good pics (though I did get a picture of all 5 models lined up.)

I ran out to watch the baseball playoffs. GO METS dammit! Dark Knight git-r-done.

I'll post pics in a bit.

Fok, did you pic up anything from this round?

No.  I got some waxed black laces from VB about a year ago.   I like these better.

Ah ok....

Maybe I'll write Guy at Viberg and pick up a pair or 2.

I'm curious what folks here think. And with the beefy garage boots, those thin laces look sorta out of place.

Looking forward to other garage boot pics and opinions.

Those thin laces on the fat waxed probably wouldn't work either.

Garage boots arrived! They look great, but I think I should've gone with 7.5 on the 110 rather than a 7 (for reference, I'm a 8E Brannock and 7.5 Barrie). They fit but are just a tiny bit shorter than ideal. I may try wearing them around the house over the next few days and see if I grow into the fit but I'd also be willing to pass them onto another short-footed individual who regrets missing out on the GMTO.

That's a shame. I'm an 11.5 brannock and I go with a 10.5. Can you try them with some thin socks?

Possibly. I'm going to try various permutations and figure it out. The boots are gorgeous, after all.

Which laces do you all think would look best on these. I sort of like the wider waxed laces that billymax has, as I have the same on my reverse kudus, but I don't know.

I'm so glad I stuck with my regular Viberg size on these 110's as my 1035(thanks Raneleigh). Thought about going down .5 but it would have been too snug.

@metranger8694what's your viberg size on 110,1035,2030,2045?

Hmm, not totally wild about the Styleforum stamp on the insole..

My wife when I showed her the work oxfords:
"Those are nice... do they make shoes for women?"
I... don't know how I feel about this development...
Mainly because it would entail revealing how much they cost.
