Viberg Boots - Page 78

It's a photo from the Viberg blog.  That's a natural CXL service boot with Christy sole.  Not sure about the toe.

I was stoked to have gotten first dibs on these and the team at Viberg were fantastic to deal with. There was some talk about customer service from a forum member and I must say that the service I have received has been nothing short of impressive. I ended up with 4 pairs of shoes from the sample sale and each was shipped promptly, with tracking provided. There was a delay in the shipping of the last batch of sample sale shoes, but it was simply due to the guys being out of the country, and they made sure to communicate this, both via email and on this thread. Email responses to any questions I had came from Guy and Morgan at all hours of the day. Morgan was even kind enough to accommodate a special shipping request I had, unlike most other retailers I have dealt with. I certainly look forward, and have no hesitation in making future purchases from them. I think the quality of their service absolutely matches the quality of their product.

Nice, very nice.

Congrats!!!!!

I have both, and the major difference is for the leather panels which are not exactly stitched in the same place

can anyone comment on the brown oil tan leather? Does it 'age' well?

I hope it does age well, I have a pair of Oxford 145s coming in brown oil tan.

Can anyone comments whether structured / unstructured toe will affect comfort of the shoe or just the aesthetic? Thanks.

I'm working out my specs for a 145 oxford MTO.

Any additional details?

No. Only on the types of toe

I received my 145's today. Brown oil tan leather on a special order Vibram #1743 Bologna sole. If you look at my avatar I'm standing on my tank from 1972. I know tanks and these shoes are tanks - very manly! A beautiful, rugged well made shoe - they will last a lifetime. I have owned AE, Alden, Trickers, AS, Loake, etc... and these oxfords impress me more than any of them. The construction is flawless - and the customer service from Morgan and the gang was second to none. It took six weeks from order to shipping. Not bad at all, and worth the wait!

seer - great looking shoes. Those look pretty rock solid. I like the metal eyelets and the captoe. I am interested in seeing how the leather wears over time. Enjoy the shoes! DuckOB

I know something of good leathers - this is top notch; thick, supple. I have no doubt that it will wear well. My next MTO will be rough-out.
