Freeman's Sporting Club on Rivington St. in NYC had some viberg boots (2030 last I think) when I was last there a few weeks ago. I cannot remember if they were specifically service boots though.

Inventory also now has an NYC store at Extra Pl. They may have viberg but you probably first want to call and check.

looks great, is that a service boot with brogue cap toe and unstructured toe box?  what kind of leather?

what's the main difference between the service and the scout boot?

It's a photo from the Viberg blog.  That's a natural CXL service boot with Christy sole.  Not sure about the toe.

I was stoked to have gotten first dibs on these and the team at Viberg were fantastic to deal with. There was some talk about customer service from a forum member and I must say that the service I have received has been nothing short of impressive. I ended up with 4 pairs of shoes from the sample sale and each was shipped promptly, with tracking provided. There was a delay in the shipping of the last batch of sample sale shoes, but it was simply due to the guys being out of the country, and they made sure to communicate this, both via email and on this thread. Email responses to any questions I had came from Guy and Morgan at all hours of the day. Morgan was even kind enough to accommodate a special shipping request I had, unlike most other retailers I have dealt with. I certainly look forward, and have no hesitation in making future purchases from them. I think the quality of their service absolutely matches the quality of their product.

Nice, very nice.

Congrats!!!!!

I have both, and the major difference is for the leather panels which are not exactly stitched in the same place

Service boots

Scout Boots

johnnyrich7's clean up of those sample shells make me hope for a deal out there on some in my size. Nice score!

can anyone comment on the brown oil tan leather? Does it 'age' well?
