Viberg Boots - Page 71

Just curious, and perhaps Guy can answer, Will the ready-to-order boots on the new website be returnable (after a single try-on for fit and feel), since they are not custom made?

You could argue that all Vibergs are custom made. It might be better to say the web catalog is not MTO.

Unfortunately a 12 was not made. You could get the exact pair MTO though as we still have both leathers in stock. Email mto@viberg.com for more details.

This is top priority as soon as we get back from NY. We will be shooting the lasts from multiple angles and have written descriptions and sizing advice. Should be up by mid July at the latest. In the meantime feel free to contact us for sizing advice.

They will be returnable. As long as they haven't been worn outside and don't have visible marks on the sole. We just ask that you contact us within 7 days. You'll be refunded less shipping ($25 or $75) and will have to cover return shipping back though. We don't want people treating it like a try-on service as it will get expensive on both ends, but you're definitely not stuck with a pair if the size is off.

Thanks for the info Guy....  One more question for now:  Are the Cordovan and Horsehide service boots 5" or 6" boots?

Me too - I asked a couple of pages back. I haven't got my MTO yet or I would.

Is it just me or does the 310 last look very similar to Whites boots?

Similar to the 461 (sprung toe) from White's, but a little different in shape, and notice the "heel cup" or whatever you call it at the back of the Viberg, which White's doesn't have.  Gives the Viberg more of a work boot look.  Also, I don't own White's but I got several leather samples, and none quite matched up to the incredibly nice quality of the Viberg leathers. Not that White's are not great boots in their own way....

I have both boots...Viberg Service boots in the 310 last and a pair of White's CWB's in the 461 Last. The Viberg 310, has a more up turned toe than the 461 and a wider toe box. The Heels are wider in the Vibergs as well. I feel more secure with the heel in my White's but they are also two entirely different boots so it's hard to compare. As far as quality goes, BOTH are top notch. The leather for each (Ice Moch CXL for the Viberg & Brown CXL for the White's) were perfect, but different all the same. White's were softer and Viberg's were stiffer. Both are super comfy but if I HAD to choose one for all day comfort, it would be the White's. I bought the White's for work purpose only and the Viberg's for more dressy casual stuff, hence the very different configurations,

I love them both :)
