NOW SOLD SHIPPED CONUS - BROOKS BROTHERS SHELL CORDOVAN Attache/Case (retail $4500!)

Thread Starter
I have for sale two absolutely gorgeous Brooks Brothers leather goods pieces. Prices include insured shipping CONUS (Fed Ex or USPS). Please PM for international shipping rates.

1. NEW Brooks Brothers Shell Cordovan Attache Case / Briefcase - SOLD Includes Brooks Brothers cloth bag.

This is the end-all of attache cases. Absolutely stunning, gorgeous, incredible, you get the idea.

Made in Canada, and according to the manufacturer, it is entirely hand made / hand sewn. Horween Shell cordovan with suede lining. Brass fixtures. The case locks (key provided). The attache case measures 16 X 12.5 X 4.5. It already has a great color, and it will develop a beautiful patina and last a lifetime (or longer!).

The color is closer to AE's burgundy shell cordovan instead of Alden's. That is, it is lighter, with more burgundy and brown instead of the very dark color found with Alden's shell.

This retails on Brooks Brothers' website for $4500. Get it here for SOLD

With the spotting issues I've encountered with shell cordovan shoes, I have to wonder how it will do in the rain?

+1. I'll never wear my shell shoe sin wet weather ever again unless they're someone else's. EVERY pair no matter which part of the world they're produced forms small spots and blistery marks.

I can't say I've really noticed this. In fact I'd go so far as to say that if it's raining I usually whack my shell boots on.

Maybe it's the fact they're in so much of a state in the first place that you can't notice the spots!

^^^^ Agreed. It's nasty and raining today, so I wore my shell longwings w/ crepe soles. I am trying to justify buying this briefcase. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Nick Horween has pictures of an aged shell cordovan briefcase on his blog: Link It looks amazing with wear & tear. The patina is great.

I'll take a pic to show you. I guess its hit or miss with shell and ironically, owners either get it on ALL or NONE of their shell pieces. I am ultra careful with these particualr shoes so there's no way it could be mistreatment. In fact, before I wear any pair of shoes I own I brush, buff and apply a light coat of wax to seal it from the elements. After every wearing, i wipe them down, brush the shit outta them, then store with trees for 1-2 weeks before im back to the same pair. And like magic these little bumps appear on my shell shoes though some eventually recede while others like my Alden shell boots - supposedly the most rugged and hard wearing kicks suitable for an igent- blister like an aids patient.

I think you just justified it, homie.

Any shell fans out there who are ALSO lawyers shouldn't have to give it another thought.

I'd get jumped by the data scientists and then fired for not matching my flip flops.
