There are probably fans of the Redwall series (I read 'em all as a wee lad!) here. The author has died of a heart attack. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...yside-12380763

I read most of these books when I was a kid. Sad news.

I've been wanting to pick up where I leftoff in the series lately.

Man,...these were huge to me when I was young. They became a bit formulaic as time went on, but it was such a great series for a child. This truly sucks.

Yup.

And man, the food descriptions in these books were key, I was always up for some dandelion wine after 3 paragraphs of description.
