Has Jcrew sizing changed?

Their large now fits more like XL? And their old sizing was already a little big bigger than everybody else's.

JC caters to the fatter general population, despite having fans in niche communities such as this one

Their slim-fit line is actually spot on. I prefer other brands for button downs, but the sizing is pretty good in slim fit.

There are some guys that aren't fat that dont like this whole ultraultraultra slimfit craze. I remember about 5 years ago JCrew shirts started getting real narrow; are they bigger (normal) again?

I don't like "this whole ultraultraultra slimfit" and the only J.Crew shirt I've owned (a medium button-down) would've needed a stay at the neighborhood tailor to excise it from potato sack silhouette territory.
