ebay suits, sportcoats, and other clothing - Page 4

Outbid. Dang. A stunning heavy cashmere Kiton suit in my size. Though it's hard to tell the precise condition, I"m guessing this was a steal at $650 or so.

I found this a bit hard to believe but I had been watching that zippered cardigan http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=005 for more than a month and it sold an hour after I posted the link here. Coincidence?

That was me! Not a lurker, just a regular old member. I hope you weren't saving it for yourself - I didn't think you'd post it if you weren't trying to let the members know about it. I've been looking at zip cardigans for the last few weeks at Worlds Finest but this one was considerably cheaper (though not a Colombo or Avon Celli or the like).

I don't think it can be avoided. If you force people to sign up before they can read the forum, they'll do so, make 3 or 4 posts and then go back to watching and sniping the shoes i want to buy.

No problem. If I posted it, it's fair game. I said I thought it was bit expensive given the $295 retail and was not going to buy it so enjoy! I was just surprised it sold so quickly after I posted and thought it confirmed Ed's suspicion about auction lurkers on SF.

It may be a little expensive, but it looked like a bargain after I spent a few days drooling over the Italian zip cardigans at shopthefinest.com so I jumped on it. It isn't quite the same, but it's the perfect utilitarian style I was looking for, the measurements were just right and the color is exactly what I was looking for.

Yes, I agree. It's a great piece and definitely a bargain at 1/3 of retail. I am just a cheap SOB

Here's a Cucinelli Cashmere Overcoat, size 44!

Out of my price range but absolutely gorgeous.

The seller, onlythebest4me, is reputable, and she's lowered the price from an original start price of $995 to $849!

Good Luck! BTW: Cucinelli Cashmere is wonderful!

Was doing a search for some PS and Jil Sander stuff, maybe you guys will be into some of these items:

Seems nice for those into this sort of thing:

I was watching this overcoat as I thought about buying it for a gift, but perhaps a bit high for that purpose, seems like still a good deal though:

Similar one:

This might be cool with jeans, my size but not really my style (Paul Smith brown jacket):

Kind of a cool PS shirt:

Another PS shirt, $29 BIN, pretty cool:

Only the lapel. The rest is fused. And the cuff is notched, so alterations there can be dicey.

Would you?

I do see where a Kiton collector might want this crest.
