Nepenthes is the parent company of Engineered Garments. Its products are designed by Daiki Suzuki. This is a rare piece that I purchased at a few years ago, but now have the pleasure of passing on to someone else.
This is the warmest pea coat I've ever worn. It has a quilted lining (with some minor fraying that an be easily mended) that keeps you warm even in windy conditions. It's an XL, but I think this would fit anyone who wears a Large in their outerwear (measurements below). It has a tall collar that looks great when turned up. There's some stitching on the back of the collar that I really like.
The grey color is versatile, not drab. It looks amazing with denim, crisp or worn in. And you could wear this over a shirt and tie and look classy still.
The buttons have a nice tarnished effect that gives them some extra character and detail. Some are slightly loose, but it's really not noticeable. I only even mention for full disclosure.
Two side pockets keep your hands warm. Single vent in the back.
And then the construction on this coat is unparalleled, as you'd expect from the brand. There are really neat seams jutting from the neck down the back. You'll keep this for years. I've gotten great use of it and now am happy to pass it on to someone else.
Price: $250 shipped, USPS priority (shipping will be expensive)
