20mm Hirsch Duke on mine (old photo). You can see a tiny gap between the strap and lugs if you look closely. Hirsch produces 21mm straps. I guess 21mm straps would also fit on 20mm lug width watches. The reason I bought a 20mm strap instead was so that I could use it with multiple watches, but to be honest I haven't used this strap with any of my other watches.

Thank you!

I'd go with the Seiko auto. Second choice would be the Eco-drive.

Have you considered a Seiko Monster?

especially the orange monster if he wants the color.

I have both Seikos inbound. I will decide, which one I like better and send the other back. Will post what I keep.

I'm not sure what the upper price range of this thread is, but, if I were to look for a casual automatic watch in the $200-$400 range, would you guys recommend a pilot's watch from Hamilton or a one of the retro-inspired Seikos?

Also, can anybody recommend a good source for chromexcel watch bands?

Personally I would go with Hamilton. Sapphire crystal, hacking, and handwinding. I haven't looked at recent Seikos in that price range, so they may include all of that nowadays.

SARB 033, 035?

The nicest watch I've ever owned is a Victorinox I received from an aunt as a graduation present, and later this year I'm thinking of making a moderate investment in a more substantial automatic watch.  I already have a watch with a white face, black hands, and a black leather strap that I wear with black shoes on my dressiest occasions, so I'm looking for something to wear on weekends and vacations.  These, and the Maratec mid-pilot, are the first ones I've come across that jumped out at me:

Not a watch, but a strap I made last night. I figured I'd share here. It is a Horween Natural Shell Cordovan Two Piece Strap, lined with Alran Gold Chevre with a real gold buckle (made by the person this is for).
