Saw a Moto watch yesterday and now covet one. Two thing;s holding me back. I don't really need a smart watch. Only use 1/4 of the features on my smart phone, I know if I buy one, within a month someone will come out with another smart watch that makes it obsolete. Nonetheless the seed has been planted.
The Moto 360 is nice, but I prefer the Huawei, Gear S2 Classic, or Urbane 2 LTE (if it ever gets re-released). I've played around with them all, as I love trying new technology and then flipping it for a small loss if I get bored. I never lose more than $50-100. Just got a new phone the other day (S7 Edge) and I have the same issue, every time I get the next best thing, a better one is only a few months behind it. Smartwatches are definitely not necessary at all, but they're still pretty fun and can be useful in certain situations. Primarily, when I'm in a client meeting or court and I get a phone call or text I can leave my phone in my breast pocket or briefcase and reply from my wrist.
