The Seiko SARB065 Cocktail Time watch has been discussed on this thread before.

I just ordered it on Massdrop at US$ 350 including shipping to Australia;

This watch seems to perfectly suit the caption of this thread.

I cannot explain it, but that watch has been calling me for awhile now.  I'm probably going to order through one of the AD's, though, after having an issue with my Sumo, needing to send it in for some work and having a good experience with the AD taking care of it.  Looks like you can get it directly from Japan for $365 shipped.

It' going to be a fun weekend, for sure. As an owner of 3 Stowa watches, I am really glad Jorge was able to make it to the States for the event.

Nice straps.

The 007 looks very right on the Bond style NATO!

SKX007 and 009 are great watches. Really, everything Seiko Japan makes is a fantastic watch for the money.

Not to take away from this thread, but I've found the WUS affordable forum is also a great source for those who don't know about it. It would also be a good source to discuss other watches here.

It might be a poor poor man's but I really enjoy this watch.

Damn you for making me do this. I saw your post just after finding some good financial news and next thing I know (well several weeks later) this arrived in the mail. Somewhat ironically, the financial transaction took some twists and turns and has yet to actually materialize, but so far I am more than impressed with the Sumo. Other than the color which was the big draw for me, I didn't think there would be that many aspects that would positively differentiate the Sumo from the Shogun I already own, but I have to say that it's a lot closer than I thought and definitely stands on its own.

Poor man's Sea Dweller for me today (though the photos are a couple days old). I ended up flipping the Borealis Scorpionfish, as I found it too big for my slender wrists, so got this as a new dive beater instead. Derivative, but I never care about that:

Very nice! Armida doesn't get much love 'round these parts!

^ Thanks Shawn. Yeah, I know, but I could care less. I get what I like. Works well, looks good. I'm happy with it.

Oh, I sure wasn't suggesting you should only buy what's "in" in this thread - I actually myself own quite a few non-TWAT, non-WIS and non-PMW watches that I wear frequently! Life sure would suck if everyone was only wearing the 5-10 more frequently seen models!

Wear in good health!

As we say on cigar forums, like what you smoke and smoke what you like!

No worries, Shawn. I knew what you meant. All is good. And thank you smile.gif

What I like about the Armida is its size. At 38mm, it's the smallest dive watch I've ever owned, but it certainly doesn't wear small on my puny wrist.
