Wish we could see more detail in the photo.

No pics currently, but I just picked up an Orient Blue Mako off Amazon for a little over 100 bucks and I am very impressed with the look and feel of the watch. It's one of the best deals for the price out there in my opinion. Its a great watch for both office and casual wear which is something I was looking for. Only complaint I have is that the band could be a little better, but I may throw a Zulu strap on it somewhere down the road. Very pleased!

Wow, that collection.

I have 4 in my rotation and I barely find enough time for them all.

Anywho, here's my latest budget acquisition:

mako XL?

Looks like a Orient Ray rather than a Mako. Do they make it in an XL version? Could just look larger in the photo. Anyway, Orient is a great everyday watch and I look to pick up a few more in the future to add to my collection.

It's a discontinued Orient Snorkeler. Their Orient Star line is fantastic for the money. Would love one in my collection...

I was on the look out for a CWC G10 but I went with this instead. Not an authentic military watch but a similar style.

Any recommendations for a modern or vintage mechanical hand-winding (not automatic) watch? One with a mineral crystal is preferred (domed even better!).

There's a glut of Chinese made ones like this no-name watch on Overstock, or the Parnis on ebay. Any others?

Try HMT, there are a ton on -ebay. Indian company, everything seems to be fairly slim and hand-wind, lots of options, and many with domed crystals (though not mineral ones). I have a "Pilot" model that I love, and they seem to come with all sorts of faces. Exchange rates make 'em dirt cheap, too. Based on my experience, the bands will be garbage, but dropping $15 on a decent leather band at the watch repair kiosk at the mall will hardly kill ya.

First entry into the whole watch world...Orient Vintage Power Reserve. Online price works for my budget.

Nice! Is that the strap that came with it?

Swapped out the band the day after I got it...
