Poor man's watch thread - Page 234

You should be able to use the bars that come with the watch.

As far as thickness goes, I've not seen bars advertised in different thicknesses- only widths.

I ordered one of these a while back-

It was cheap enough and that way I pretty much always have spare should the need arise.

The only problem was the price range is pushing in to plus $1000 range.

A 38mm - 40mm is the size I want.

For a bit less probably Hamilton then. Thinomatic, intramatic or viewmatic. They all come in silver and black dials but might be pushing 10mm. I like the retro look of the Intramatic.

Other ones don't come to mind in autos. Also, it's pretty easy to get discounts on Hamilton.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I really like the look of the Max Bill as after getting the price down to around. AUD$1100 I'll just grab one

Well if you aren't opposed to used, check Timezone or Watch Recon.

Just received the green bezel I ordered for my SKX007, and what a quick and easy mod it turned out to be. I think it looks quite fantastic!

^^ looks great

Similar to the gree rolex while still being a seiko. I need to consider that bezel and re-discover my skx

Bezel looks great! Have you considered the Murphy coin-edge bezel? It transforms the watch greatly.

So while on Instagram today, one of the people I follow posted a watch (see below) that I fell in love with instantly. Only problem is that the watch cost over $100K and that's definitely too much for me.

So I'm coming to y'all to see if I can get some help finding a poor man's version (under $900) of it.

Patek Philippe 3970P

Thanks in advance! smile.gif
