I don't subscribe to any notions that a watch can be too big for someone, unless it's just like comically huge (example, a young woman or a little boy wearing a huge 50mm U-Boat watch), and I don't feel these are. The lugs definitely don't extend out past my wrist and they wear smaller than their measurements indicate. But honestly, I look at this 5 and it does seem noticeably small, even if it's 'big' by old standards. People say watches used to be small therefore watches should *still* be small, I don't believe in that in the least. Maybe it's weird, but I like to feel the watch is there. I don't like super-thin, tiny watches. I have a feeling though, that the angle which I shot it makes the watch look too big? Because there's no way this would ever be considered too big for my wrist =)

48mm IS comically large, especially if it's thick. Hockey puck watches look like crap on anybody, but much more so if you have a small wrist.

If I don't consider it comically large, that's what matters. Believe me some people want way more ridiculous sized watch than my situation.

@ryoneo - how do you like the Bambino? Does it feel cheap? I've been on the fence about getting it.

It's affordable and the movement is good (Japanese Citizen, I think). The watch has a nice domed crystal and looks and feels elegant. Go for it, you get a lot of watch. So no, it does not feel cheap.

If you don't like large watches that's ok, but don't piss on everyone that likes large watches deadhorse-a.gif

How big is your wrist? Stallone rocks a 50mm uboat but his wrists are like 8 inches around. Pulling off the look more or less requires that the lugs dont stuck out past your wrists

Invicta Diver Lupah w/ Hadley Roma alligator straps. When I got these in 04, the watch came with the alligaor strap. The strap was worth more than the watch lol8[1].gif. After 9 years, no problems and running well.

Here is another (successful this time) attempt at posting pictures of my watches:

Tissot Limited edition MotoGP:

 ...and Tag Heuer F1 edition:

I have 8 inch wrists (more thick than wide) and own a 45mm face watch (exc crown). It's as big as I would like to go personally, but it's just my preference.
