Yeah something dressier would be nice. A small diameter is also a must (40mm or less).

I currently have a Tissot PRS200 in two tone and a cheap Invicta (silver band black face).

Weird, because I've seen a thread (I want to say in the Chinese Autos forum, or something like that) where these have been discussed. I know they have weirdo-stickler rules over there but I believe you can discuss MM/Parnis over there, where applicable. But you are probably not allowed to discuss *FAKE* Panerai, i.e. watches that aren't Panerai but labelled Panerai and meant to trick people into thinking they are real. Parnis/MM isn't selling AS Panerai. Fakes, homages, replicas... they are all different things, but I know the snobs think they are all bad. I know it's it's own whole topic, but yea.

If you look far back enough in the Affordable Watches forum (f71), they talk about it a bit. I think the general rule and consensus is that you can talk about it, but you cannot post a picture with the MM name on the dial. You can post a homage watch with sterile dial (no name) or edit/photoshop the Marina Militare from the dial.

I haven't visited the forums in a few months, but even in January and last December, they were talking about receiving their homages from Jackson or another seller (I forget their names).

Where did you get the strap?
Is it 100% leather?

It's that one there, I don't know, I think so as I read calf leather. But I could be wrong.

Does anyone know a good place to buy a Mondaine watch? I see there are some on Amazon, but there is a particular style I am interested in that no Amazon sellers seem to be carrying? (Mondaine A658.30332.16SBG)

It's all Jisch's fault, I am afraid I will have to buy one of these- and it fits the bill for what you were looking for, except 2 mm more...  smile.gif

Oh- $160... good looking watch...

Anyways, what I'm looking for:

Brown leather strap (I guess I could buy this separate if necessary)

Gold colored case

Clean looking face (not a chrono).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hope you don't mind, but I think I'm going to do the same thing.

Excuse my ignorance, but where online do you source such watch straps? Thanks

Too big. I am only looking for < 40mm case diameter (small wrist). I also don't like the winder protector thingy on the side, adds to much bulk to the side.
