Solar was the housebrand of Canadian store called Eaton's. Defunct for a while now, but their watches are a bit of a collector's item because some of them (not this one) were made by Rolex or something like that (maybe a subrand of Rolex). I think this has an eta automatic movement.

it is a bit weird. IMO, throughout it's history, Seiko has created some of the most attractive watches of all time, but unfortunately a lot of them have been few and far in between. 6105, 6217, 6309, blue spark, etc all gorgeous pieces. Wish they would re-release some of them.

Carbon Fiber strap could be interesting, that black / red stripped NATO strap could be cool, or a sporty brown leather might work as well.

I'm not versed at all in watches, and to be quite honest the last watch I wore regularly was when I was a Sophmore in High School (Said Gucci and was made of metal but I don't know for sure. That was over 10 years ago.


Looking to pick up a nice first watch I can wear with a suit or casual business attire. Any suggestions?

 

I'd like it to be a cheap good watch, less than $350 or so.

I'd go with a used Hamilton Jazzmaster.
