Good choice - I like the black better.

I was overseas and stopped at Massimo Dutti outside Marseilles. I was impressed by the watches they had there for the price. They appeared to all be mechanical (I didn't try one on so I can't confirm) with nice simple dials. For some of them they offered multiple straps and strap changing tool. For the diver they even offered an alternate bezel. All in the $200 range which is what you would drop on a cheap quartz like Guess or Nixon. Apparently they have stores in Toronto and New York although I wasn't aware of this. Thoughts?

A rubber strap would look good too.

Ok, this is not in the poor man's range, I suppose.

Are these watches by Stanton any good? Never heard of them, have no idea what the movement is.

The New York City store is two buildings over from my office and opened about 12 days ago. I haven't been in yet.

I like this watch. Is there anything special about the Japanese Market Seiko 5?

Gorgeous watch. Really like the styling, but I've never even heard of Stanton in passing. Is there history to this brand? quality? I see its automatic but what movement? Assume it must be an ETA?

I want to buy a simple clean looking titanium watch that is comfortable and have been looking at this Citizen golf watch - anyone have it?

My view is that what Massimo has done was to take iconic watches, IWC, Rolex and some old school simple chronographs and just made it with their name on it. It's pretty much like buying a Parnis/homage, just with a more well known brand.

I would buy it if I had the money to spare of if it was slightly cheaper. Probably in the low 100 range.
