If you're looking for the texture, look for buffalo straps.

If you're looking for the rivets, look for aviator straps.

It's hard to tell, but it may be an RAF strap on his Rolex. RAF straps just go over the bars and under the watch. Not as fussy as the NATO bands.

RAF strap

NATO strap:

Whichever he used, it was too narrow for the lug width:

That looks pretty good actually, the RAF looks dead on.  I had always thought that RAF straps were NATO straps or fell into the NATO strap category.  But yes, definitely several cm off on the strap width.

I've gotten my RAF straps here before. Cheap and quickly shipped. Also has some options in NATO and two piece NATO looking straps.

No problem at all. It was a quick operation, took about 15 minutes and only required som elbow grease and balls of steel when inserting a knife under the bezel. Here's a decent guide.

Also looks great. The strap adds so much to the watch. Hard to believe you can put an auto together like that for a $100.

Looks good, I just wish those 5's were a tiny bit bigger, I think those are like 37-39mm? Wish they were 40-41mm
