I have to say, for a hundred fucking bucks, the quality, weight, and finish of this thing is un-farking-believable.

Very nice. Always been tempted by Parnis, both the pilot and dressier chronos. Wear in good health.

...does this put me back your good books after that olympic spoiler thingy on the other thread??? sorry....

Anybody know of an inexpensive watch manufacturer that makes something like the below? I'm not ready to spend this much on a watch, but I love the look of it - especially the styling of the Arabic numerals, and the very simple, understated design of the rest of the warch. Am I out of luck and do I just need to buy something pricey like this to get that look? I'm not looking for any fancy features or anything like that, just something that keeps decent time and looks similar to this, thanks!

Anyone got a legitimate alternative to this beauty:

$550 which I think is in the Poor man's range.

Ditto.

and what are your thoughts on these retro casio's? I really like em', but silver or gold? does anyone find it tacky to wear a gold plated watch? I feel like people will think I'm trying to hard to be ballin'

I saw a beautiful woman, maybe 25-30yo, wearing the gold one of these on the subway in NYC today.

I don't want to take the "poor man" designation too literally but c'mon, a $600 watch doesn't belong in this thread....

+1 to the bolded above.

Lol it's 'poor man's watch thread' not 'rich man's cheap watch thread'... haha.
