The key for me is versatility (and simplicity) where I can dress-up or dress-down the watch by replacing straps. I feel that my Timex Weekender is just too casual and time for a little change.

Thanks!

That is a good looking watch and a nice price. It would look great with an alligator leather strap.

I would just use the Weekender as my casual watch and use it to feature the NATO straps on. I'm not a NATO strap fan, though. I think they look ok with a watch like the Weekender, but I don't care for them when worn with Rolex's or Omega's, other high end brands, etc. A little too...I'm so cool, I wear my expensive watch on a $15 dollar strap.

Yes but you will get tired of replacing straps. Clearly you need more watches but you can't go wrong with Seiko. It's the obvious choice in that price range and you can dress it up or down.

I think that Seiko would look really sharp with an alligator band, but not with a NATO strap. Nylon straps look best on divers and military style watches, imho.

I think shell cordovan NATO straps are pretty cool on higher end tool watches. Those straps are closer to $200, however.

Roughly how long did it take to ship the Sea-Gull from China to the United States?

I suspect its the same guy that sells them on ebay for an even cheaper price. Shipped from China relatively quick and great communication from the seller.

+1 it looks artificial. A darker brown would definitely look better.
