New watch from MWC.

I like it quite a bit, my first mechanical watch.

Orient Black Mako. Just a fun beater to wear around to the gym, work out, and go to class and such. Very well recommended--arguably the best watch (in my opinion) in the $100, and even $200 range.

For good reason... those are all type A, not type B.

Great post, thanks. There are so many Seiko 5s, is there a good overview anywhere?

You're right. I got B-type confused with B-Uhr instead of Baumuster B.

Can anybody give me a quick breakdown of the meanings of A-Type / B-Type / B-Uhr / Baumuster B / etc. etc. etc.?

I assume A = Archimede style (Plain face) and B = secondary middle dial?

I really like the Seiko 5 in blue, how does it look in person?

I am hapy to have found this, I wouldhave never considered a nato style band....but after seeing some of the great looks on here my eyes are open to soo many more options. This is my first new watch in a long time. Skyhawk.bmp

Do the Seiko 5s have solid metal bands or folded metal?
My Seiko 5 has folded.

All please lend some advice. I am looking to buy a watch as to move on from the Fossils on the world but unfortunately don't have the budget yet to invest in something like a Bell & Ross, Breitling, Tag etc. I'm thinking in the $500 range and am trying to make a decision that won't make me look like a fool. I like the Tissot Traditition and like the Tsovet SVT-LX73.  Any opinions, advise?

An automatic chrono for 500 USD? Or does it just have to look similar?
