Pujols has a no trade clause and has insisted that he would exercise it to prevent any trade. I think the Phillies would have to make a very complex deal to get Howard out and to get Pujols in as a free agent; I can't imagine it happening.

Kevin Millwood is available. Also look for a Sidney Ponson sighting.

This is interesting part of the season. Guys show up the Spring Training and I think they realize that can't do it anymore and retire. Speaking of which, Garrett Anderson HOF?

Yes, because I'm biased.

I was thinking "yes" too. He's got over 2500 hits. Maybe not first ballot, but I could see a weak year where he gets 75% of the vote.

Come on. He's a completely mediocre player who's never been anywhere near the top echelon of players at his position(s). No major awards, no major records, no nothing. Guy's a lifer. Doesn't mean he needs to be in the Hall.

Objectively speaking, maybe he's not HoF material, but mediocre? Really buddy...

The man hit .300, 20 HRs, 100 HRs for literally 15 years straight.

Which, in reality, is basically middle of the road. He's not bad, by any stretch of the imagination, but one of the top players of his generation? I don't think so.
