^^damn talk about being a killjoy. So what if some mid level regional sales rep is super happy his team won a playoff series (first in like 30 years
) in an extra inning walk off win?! That was exciting shit!
I watch yankee redsox games in yankee stadium and hate the yankees, but honestly I don't hate the yankee fans because I understand why they love their team. I even understand and am amused on how they rag on Arod like he's Jan, and Jeter is Marsha.
Let the sports fan be enthusiastic. Even people watching wimbeldon tennis will cheer wildly.
then again regional fan bases being annoyed with each other is a great thing. It shows they care. I've always lived in regions with rabid fan bases (boston, NYC, southern CA (for Laker fans at least), and even the Bay Area CA) and it always struck me weird that people wouldn't
be huge fans - especially if their teams are successful.
its sad when you see teams like Tampa Bay fan bases only show up for playoff games. i'm sure there are lots of rays fans, but you wouldn't know it from the TV coverage.

as for the annoyance about the 2004 redsox being idiots? um did you look at the team (manny ramirez, johnny damon, derrick lowe) those guys are clearly low on the IQ range (maybe idiot savants but still idiots all the same). Kevin Millar is a pretend idiot though (he knows how to work a crowd and speak coherently).
