Hopefully... No one has heard from him in the past week or two.

He's probably polishing his World Series RINGs, and making a place for a new one next year.

Kershaw pitched a great game. Now he's a resounding 2-6. He could be 4-6 and have an ERA in the high 3s if (cough, cough) the Dodgers actually win. Decent, but nowhere near as good as The Freak, much less Bumgarner.

Lol. Because wins are the best stat for judging pitchers right?

of course it is. because bumgarner has not lost a game this off season; he therefore should be this year's post season MVP.

seriously, i have not heard any fan whose team didn't even make it to the playoffs talk this much trash.  i'd keep my mouth shut if my dodgers didn't make it to the playoffs.

It's not talking trash, it's Playoff Separation Anxiety.

Actually, if you check post season stats, which I did, The Freak's line is 5-2 w/a 2.4 or something ERA, .85 WHIP, and just over 10 K/9. His K/BB is a bit high though.

And then there was the14K 2 hit shutout. ('12 vs. Tigers IIRC)

But we need a bat (Cespedes?) and a pitcher for next year. Hunter Pence for more than 50 games might help, too.

IIRC Greinke is a free agent at the end of this year?

i'm not sure why you're still talking about "the freak". i respect bumgarner; i wish the dodgers had him. but lincecum is so yesterday's news, so is matt cain.  it's like me not letting go koufax's no hitters and constantly wave them in front of you. that's just weak.

oh, and sorry to break it to you, the giants can't afford greinke.

Ha, I read your first sentence and immediately started thinking about a Koufax joke.

So I have a plan.

Play Chase Utley today. DeGrom will have to throw at him. This will lead to DeGrom being thrown out.

Rids dodgers of DeGrom, who dominated game one, and gets a guy on base. Also makes mets use relievers all game.
