Fun fact: the "mets" in NY Mets actually stands for "metrosexuals".

Doesn't matter who pitches if you can't score 1 run the entire game.

Well that's nice. They will have plenty of time to pluck their eyebrows and shave each other's ball sacks after the Dodgers send them back to Queens.

2 runs off of 4 hits I believe.

I was at the game and I was sorely disappointed when the Yankees started booing their own players. Sure they put out a lousy performance but it's your team! Don't be assholes.

Some big double plays and Headley's bare-hander really had the crowd going. We were all cheering pretty hard any time the Yankees had a runner on base... Just hoping for a game tying dinger that obviously never came. Betances giving up that run was very unexpected. Hoping next year continues the trend of young up and comers like Bird and Severino. Maybe Refsnyder can improve and beat out the string of losers we've had at 2nd...

Did they deserve anything less? People pay big money for those tickets and those players DIDN'T live up to what was expected...especially the 2nd half of the season.
Booing is part of sports. They played like shit. They got a shit response.

I think Dellin is hurt. My theory is that he is having some pain in his elbow and he adjusted his mechanics to compensate.

that's typical of yankee fans, knowledgeable and merciless, for better or worse.  i was there towards the end of jeter's 0-32 run and they even boo'ed him. the next day (i was there again) he crushed the first pitch he saw from zito for a home run to make it 1-33 and all was well again (it was so loud i thought the stadium was going to collapse).

ehh... the owners pay the players, they can boo. the people don't own the players.

The owners don't own the players either.
And part of the salary for said players come from ticket sales.

Fans can/will/have and will continue to boo. This is pro sports. Not the little league.

Yankess had 3 hits in that game. Should the fans given them a standing ovation when the game was over?
