Last night was painful. But listen to what Phil Coke had to say after the game: "We’ve had our backs against the wall. We haven’t done anything easy all year. So we might as well do it the hard way. Can you read my eyes? Can you tell? Can you see them? There’s no quit in any of us. Nobody’s going to stop fighting."
The Giants have been playing perfect baseball, and it's hard to win over perfect. Seriously, guys, I have all the respect in the world for the Tigers and the quality team they have, but the Giants are putting on a clinic, as in you should watch what they are doing to become a better baseball player "clinic", during this Series and the next pitcher is Matt Cain who will probably be relieved by Lincecum.
They must be staying at the Townsend. I saw Panda in Bham as well
Cabrera likes to hang out at the Townsend too... and harass fat busboys.
I'm pretty sure the Townsend has a contract with MLB for visiting teams to stay there. I live a few blocks away and walk into town on the weekends for coffee and my newspaper and I always see autograph hunters hanging out in front of the hotel on the weekends during the season. One morning near the start of this season when the Red Sox were in town I saw David Ortiz out running laps through downtown at about 5:00 a.m.
