Last night was painful. But listen to what Phil Coke had to say after the game: "We’ve had our backs against the wall. We haven’t done anything easy all year. So we might as well do it the hard way. Can you read my eyes? Can you tell? Can you see them? There’s no quit in any of us. Nobody’s going to stop fighting."

The Giants have been playing perfect baseball, and it's hard to win over perfect. Seriously, guys, I have all the respect in the world for the Tigers and the quality team they have, but the Giants are putting on a clinic, as in you should watch what they are doing to become a better baseball player "clinic", during this Series and the next pitcher is Matt Cain who will probably be relieved by Lincecum. :freeze:

The fielding execution by the Giants has been absolutely brilliant. How does Pablo Sandoval move that giant body of his so ably at 3rd base? The Giants are just a well oiled machine. Every part, functioning to the max.

Keep in mind, the Giants are playing a team that, during the Regular Season, had the 7th best record in the AL. All we can do is try our best.

Not a fan of the Giants (this week especially) but I met Brian Wilson this morning in Birmingham while my daughter and I were walking to the farmers market. I tried to get a picture with him but my little girl who doesn't like beards found him especially creepy for some reason.

Besides all the dugout roid rage, he seemed like a pretty nice guy.

I saw a bit about him last week and his everyday life in SF and he seems really cool. He specifically mentioned he loves taking pictures with people too!

I'm pretty sure the Townsend has a contract with MLB for visiting teams to stay there. I live a few blocks away and walk into town on the weekends for coffee and my newspaper and I always see autograph hunters hanging out in front of the hotel on the weekends during the season. One morning near the start of this season when the Red Sox were in town I saw David Ortiz out running laps through downtown at about 5:00 a.m.

Cabrera likes to hang out at the Townsend too... and harass fat busboys.

And, maybe that was Hunter Pence out and about on his scooter in Shane Park this morn. :)

The Anthem blew and this is disaster.

God Bless America is an awful song to begin with and that took it to a whole new level. Sigh... Chair Force... It's not like Katie Smith's version is any less annoying though. I was talking during it once in the Bronx and some guy said something so I had to play the veteran card. Awful song.
