I'm curious to this as well. I'm a huge Phillies fan and go to lots of games. Always had my Werth shirt or jersey on last year. It sucked seeing him go but it seems like he's getting pretty frustrated in Washington. He made some type of comment saying that something needs to change. This sparked management to hold a meeting. I wonder what went down?

Nobody gives a shit about Werth here guys. I'm an O's fan, but I can tell you the only thing Nats fans care about is Strasburg and Harper. They all know that Werth is a plug in until someone better comes along, he's nothing special to go to the ball park for.

Erm, where the fuck did the Diamondbacks come from?

^tell me about it. but the padres did the same thing last season then faded into oblivion, i imagine the dbacks will do the same before too long. i'm more worried about the giants and rockies anyone else going to the all-star game this summer? can't wait!!

What would say the odds are of Strasburg ever winning a Cy Young or making an All Star game? Is there a chance his career just completely falls apart?

I'm going to say probably 1 Cy Young and a few ASG appearances. Mainly because each team needs 1 rep and the Nats have no one else people want to see. He's already had TJS and I think he'll come back stronger all IMO.

How pussy are Posey and the Giant's GM acting with their statements?

Really whining and crying over this thing, I did not expect they would resort to that. Especially considering Posey is 100% fair-game with that plate-blocking shit. He expects to have it both ways.

Here is a thought for Posey during his rehab- start lifting some damn weights so you come back a little less frail. How are you not going to get hurt with that twink frame?

Pussies?? Those guys are million dollar investments. People keep saying how different the game is today as opposed the 50s and 60s when guys went in hard like Pete Rose at the ASG. Those guys were paid shit, these guys are paid a ton. Also, I'd be pissed too if my starting catcher who is catching 2 of the best pitchers in baseball (Lincy and Cain) gets taken out. I just won the world series last year because this guy knows how to call a game.

It's not that they shouldn't be pissed that it happened, it's that they're whining like bitches about a totally valid play. So yeah, they're pussies.

I actually agree with you on all points. Which is why if there was one guy in MLB that should have been swipe-tagging instead of blocking the plate, it's Posey.

They're blaming an opposing player for doing his job when in fact Giants management was negligent in protecting their young star.

You're just happy that it might increase Phillies WS chances, too bad they can't hit their way out of a wet paper bag.

No, I stated previously that it sucks that it happened, and I meant it. The fact remains, extra innings, tie game, Posey's turning toward the runner and he got blown up. Learn to block the plate correctly and it wouldn't have happened.

You can be upset that he's injured without being a bitch and making the bush league comments about the other guy. Since you mention I'm a Phils fan, worth noting that I'm defending a Marlin here.

Also worth noting that even with the shit offense Phils have the second best record in the majors.

And Haren gets scratched... Gotta love the best players getting injured (Kendrick too) and then the worst and most expensive players getting injured as well (Kazmir, Wells).

Yeah it's a shame about Haren..I'd love for them to take the series but I don't know if it's possible with Santana and Pineiro on the mound. Btw have u seen Kazmir's lines in Triple A? He had two games with a 30+ ERA and his K/BB ratio is awful. I hope they don't need to bring him back prematurely

I think Howie is back today or tomorrow and Wells is starting a rehab assignment. Hopefully he can get it together cause he stinks so far this season
