While all that is true, the Rays are literally the only team that needs a new stadium. Its a legit shithole in a part of TB that's impossible to get to.
There's no question that it's a shithole, but the location is what it is unless they want to move it to Tampa (or north Pinellas County). Regarding access, which, truth be told, isn't as bad as you're making it sound, there might be nicer spots in the current area where they could build it (I say "might" because St. Pete is a very developed area on a small piece of land), but the current spot is probably as good as it gets in terms of getting to the stadium.

Even so, the fans there suck, and I know gripes about the stadium are a popular attempt at justifying their suckiness, but that's a bunch of bullshit. Give them the best stadium in America with teleportation devices to get them into it, and they would still be shitty bandwagoners.

MrG trivia: I went to the grand opening of the Trop (it was the Suncoast Dome at the time). Also, that's where I attended my first Jimmy Buffett concert.

The pipes backed up on the lower levels of the stadium during Oakland's 10-2 victory, creating a stink and pools of water in the clubhouses used by both teams and the umpires. ...

Coliseum officials said the six-day homestand, which drew 171,756 fans, overtaxed the plumbing system at the 47-year-old stadium.

Several Mariners left without showering. Towels were used to block sewage from running into the players' general dressing area.

Absolutely brilliant escape act by Scherzer. That kind of suspense is what makes baseball so great.

Anyone who gives a shit about the English language is sad about the use of "literally".

The colloquial use has actually been added to the dictionary. Sad, I know.

Just imagine if you were a drunk bay area resident. Something somewhere was violently broken when Reddick swung at that 3-2 change.

Joe Madden's pitching decisions?!?

TB presumably has some brilliant people in their front office-- why is this madness allowed to go on?

Or maybe he is ushering in a new era where there are only relievers and nobody ever needs Tommy John surgery except Brian Wilson.

I know that its not to the degree of any OAK/DET fans here... but playoff baseball is excruciatingly stressful to endure.. even though the redsox won it 3-1 (series and last games' score) it felt like they rays were right there and then one game to win again.
