Cliff Lee trade looking more and more likely. I'm scared shitless of what Amaro is going to get for him this time.

Distantly related to MLB: A Facebook friend of mine just got married, and Fredbird showed up at the reception. That's pretty cool, irregardless of what anyone says.

David Cone just dropped an f-bomb on the air. Talking about David Ortiz he said "things fucking flying around." He's my favorite.

I was third base line just off home plate about 15 rows up yesterday to see Yasiel Puig's walk off bomb. As a Reds fan I was bummed but that guy has been amazing ever since he got here.

then he slid into home!

Holy Pirates! Buccos are in first place have the best record in baseball!

^ holy shit I had to check that just to be sure. They're lacking bats though... I'm sure (hoping.. LOL) the slide is not far off.

When they can pad their record against teams like the St. Louis Cardinals, it's pretty easy to have the best record in baseball.

Spirit of 79 baby. Seriously tho it would be nice for them to see the post season. We'll see how this plays out.

edit: watch they end up vs atlanta in the postseason lol.

I'm a diehard Reds fan so all I can think of is the last time they won the Series they beat the Pirates for the NL pennant!

why you say that? The Cards, though I hate to admit it, are pretty strong and have one of the highest run differentials in baseball by a lot.

Go Reds!

Smart trade for Detroit. Now, we have shortstop insurance in thr event of a Peralta suspension.

Yep. Peralta is done whether it be this year or next. Bummer

iglesias is joy to watch (defensively). he also looks like a 17y/o high school kid (especially with a batting helmet on).

ever since nomar, there has been serious lack of consistency at SS for the redsox. I was hoping the redsox could finally keep a great SS for more than two years (home grown talent no less).

hopefully he turns out to be a superstar to further show the redsox that you don't give away that kind of talent (defensively at least). if anything its bound to happen (nomar and hanley Ramirez are the last two home grown redsox SS prospects highly touted).

Go Reds!

I say it because they have been playing pretty crappy lately and because I am frustrated at that.

The Cubs pitching staff has more home runs than Yankees third basemen.

ya Reds as well and me too, but your damn Cards seem to always find a way to win when it counts and be in it until the end! NL Central is tough this year.
