Yay, Tigers!
Two wins against NL's best, the Braves.
Sanchez sets a Tiger franchise record with 17 K's.
Porcello, finally, has a great outing.
Papa Grande has had two very convincing closings.
Even Don Kelly got a hit!
Today, true baseball weather, at last, has come to Detroit.
Life is good.

The Yankees are playing surprisingly well. This may be their best April in the last 15 years.

Perhaps the Yankees should treat April like an extended spring training and let their stars warm up while playing journeymen and younger prospects, it's not like they've done well in the month of April for a long time...

This AJ Burnett .gif won't load...so check it out here. Classic.

Agreed. Very cool. It would be interesting to see a GIF like that for R.A. Dickey. I would imagine that everything (form, release, and the ball) would be all over the place.

4 wins in a row for the Tigers. Scherzer, again with double digit K's. Fielder HR. And "Dirt Bag"--Andy Dirks--hits a HR, too. Prince Fielder's new at bat stadium music is something from Mozart's "Requiem". Cool! Am going to Wednesday's afternoon game and will be listening.

Tuesday will bring Tigers followed by the Red Wings in the playoff game #1. This is the 22nd consecutive year that the Wings have been in the playoffs.

. Gorgeous day. Perfect seats. But the Tigers lose without puttingup a fight.

Burnett actually made a good play. That runner was totally safe anyway - and made an unnecessary slide. With a late throw coming right at the 2nd base and a man sliding in safe it could've hit the runner/base/ been mishandled by the SS and the runner could've even advanced to 3rd.

now this is the most lol8[1].giffacepalm.gif cut off throw EVAR:

I miss manny so much... manny being manny seems like just yesterday.

Manny was THE ABSOLUTE BEST for a laugh.

I watched that Burnett gif a ton. The throw was pretty on target and FAST AS FUCK. I think the runner would have been out assuming the tag was applied cleanly.
