Another "ugh!" How could the Tigers score 9 runs and still lose? Frustrating start for Fister. Two HRs by the same player,David Murphy. Those Rangers are just too good of a team.

Go Tigrrrrrrrrrrrrrrz!

Prince Fielder earned his keep, today. I never tire of watching the enthusiasm of Quintin Berry. Pure joy.

Tomorrow, we can have the opportunity to reach .500, finally! Please, Lord!

I need some laughs this morning. Who got upset that someone was snubbed from the All Star team? Who has belief in the Dodgers, Orioles or Pirates?

Please identify yourself.

Detroit Tigers reach .500 for the first time since May 15. What an ugly first half of the season. Smyly pitched a great game--10K. Quintin Berry never disappoints.

Only Papa Grande could take an 8-4 win and turn it into an 8-7 near disaster. At game time, the temp was 91. Glad that Fister got a win.

I was about 3 sections to your left. i turned down tickets to Friday's game because of the heat.

Delmon is starting to heat up a little bit, which is good to see. maybe he read the LVP article.

All Star Break and the Tigers are .512 and 3.5 games back. Not what we hoped for back in April, but it is a step in the right direction. I loved Leyland's sputtering, a few days ago: "You can put that on Twitter. You can put that on eBay. You can...." What a guy.

Just saw Bud Selig. His crew is escorted by a 20 KCMO police motorcycle motorcade, I wonder how much the bounty on his head is.

I am happy and proud that Prince Fielder won the Home Run Derby.
Now, how about seeing a few those hits when the season resumes? Particularly with men on base.

been a while since the Pirates were leading their division at the All Star break

was in Pittsburgh last week standing at the spot where Maz's 1960 HR clear the wall

The Pirates were grossly overmatched against the Yankees, who had won their 10th pennant in 12 years. Indeed, the Bronx Bombers outscored the Pirates 55–27 in this Series, outhit them 91–60, outbatted them .338 to .256, hit 10 home runs to Pittsburgh's four (three of the latter's coming in Game 7), got two complete-game shutouts from Whitey Ford—and lost.
