good for the cardinals. and the championship goes to the last team standing. thats them. the age old "whether or nor they were the best team in the league this year" debate is always a pointless endeavour.

...and its time for Baseball to try and stay relevant for 2 more weeks by announcing awards the way old people ****, long and drawn out. By the time they announce the MVP's its two weeks before Pitchers and Catchers report.

i was rooting for the Rangers to win, only because the Cardinals had the gall to invite Daughtry to pollute my living room with his rendition of the national anthem. he should have his citizenship revoked for that mockery.

On to Free Agency and the annual carousel of signings. My predictions:

Fielder - to the Cubs.

Pujols - stays with St. Louie. They can't possibly afford to lose him.

CC - stays with the Yankees. That fat **** isn't going to get that type of money anywhere else.

CJ Wilson - stays with TX

James Shields - gets traded

Bobby Valentine - is the next manager of the Red Sox

The rumors are that CJ is gone. I bet he ends up on some team in Cali, just because he's such a Cali type of guy.

I like CJ but I would prefer the Rangers not give him a huge contract. As good as he was this season, he was basically a flop in the playoffs. Make Holland the ace and move Ogando back into the rotation.

What about K-Rod? He's a free agent now too! Since there's no team in MLB called the Walk-the-Bases-Loadeders, I'm not sure which team would be the best fit for his unique talents.

I'd love to see Fielder come to Baltimore, I think he could hit the warehouse.

Pujols, what a horrible year to be a FA, No NNY, No Bos, The Cardinals can lose him, he won't get a better deal anywhere else honestly. CC is heading towards 300 wins. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he's the next guy to make it.

I know people around here got very suspicious about TLR's future when he went out of his way to make sure that Dave Duncan, his long-time pitching coach, joined him for the last game of the regular season. (Duncan had been on a leave of absence b/c of his wife's bad health.)

Why? What better time to go out than when you're on top? Makes perfect sense to me.

+1.

Dude is old and there is nothing left for him to do.

Mike Matheny is going to be the new Cardinals manager. Local reaction I've heard so far is not very positive.
