just realized that with how the scheduling works, whoever starts Game 2 can pitch Game 5 on normal rest. So Leyland will have the option of either Max or JV. Now that would be a tough call.

whelp, kershaw was awesome, and the braves were terrible. there's always tomorrow i guess.

i don't have a problem with them leaving uggla off of the roster, he's been awful for the better part of a season and a half. i hope this signifies the end of his run in atl, but i doubt they'll eat that contract nor find anyone to take him.

this gif pretty much sums up bj's season (too large to post): http://i.minus.com/iboiY3QEAC4mw4.gif

I don't care who wins this series and I like what the Red Sox have done this year but Fenway is a stupid park. This inning would have been over on Gomes fly ball in any other park.

To dispel bias, the short porch in the Bronx is also stupid.

hellllooo kettle ... yankees right field wall wanted to say you're black...

See edit. Also if Gomes "double" was hit into right field in Yankees Stadium it would have been caught on the track.

lol... MEY ERS MEY ERS chants from massholes for Meyers error (probably caused by massholes in the first place) was classic.

regarding yankee stadium: both right and left field foul lines are extremely short. fenway's left field is short but thats it. everything else is actually very very far:

^the pesky pole in right is 301 but less than 10 feet to the right its already 380. right center is fucking 420 feet, dead center 390 and left center is 379.

also fenway's right field line is 310 feet right into a 37+ft wall.

^yup thats me, i got to walk the field and go into the green monster/dugouts/ect in 2007

^yankee stadium is great for any pull hitter. and natural power is to left center/right center/center field anyway which is shorter than fenway anyway.

fenway has been like that since forever, and the rays and red sox play each other more than 20 times a year. its the rays fielder's fault for not knowing how to play a wall ball. the yankees got used to it over the years.

here's the over lay as you admitted... the right field porch in yankee stadium can be said to be even worse than fenway (because the wall in right and left in yankee stadium's field is 8 feet high short enough for ichiro to jump to make catches).

Oh, look! Another double that would have been a fly out in any other park. I don't have the numbers but I'd be willing to bet that runs scored on cheap doubles off the monster greatly outnumber short porch shots in the Bronx.

the green monster actually takes away line drive home runs too.

yankee fields wall is only 8 feet high.... compare:

the green monster in left field? over 37 feet high.
