I never really complained about Jete's (lol) getting HPB.

Last night's Yankees v O's game was too comical in the ways Johnson just wanted to lose.

I don't understand why pitchers don't just learn to throw sidearm. It seems that pitchers throw over second base more often than not.

this last couple of weeks is going to be a huge clusterfuck for the AL wild card.

as the redsox were sweeping the yankees it was noted the eventual American League team with the best record will have potentially 4-5 days off before their start of the playoffs.

i don't know how much of an advantage that will be. i might end up like football where you have a wild card team in a groove just steamrolling through teams with the "earned" bye week. But then again it means you can really set the pitching to where you want it according to match ups against your opponent.

Didn't the Tigers play games against college or minor league teams last year after the ALCS? Didn't seem to work for them!

You win a gold glove award by being a good hitter and having won one before. Its an absolute joke of an award.

Excellent defensive positioning by that kid. He read the situation very well.

I would have tried to solicit favors for that ball.

Would probably work better if the kid were a few years older.

Or if you looked more like that girl . . .

NM. "Solicit" =/ "offer". Duh. Joke fail.

Andy that is gross.

I have to say that after watching Jeter my whole life, it is amazing to watch a SS who can actually play SS.

"Let's go, Ti-gers!" (clap, clap--clap, clap, clap)

The magic number is six.

In spite of a crappy 7-0 loss to Seattle, the Tigers' magic number is down to 5 thanks to an assist by our good friends from Kansas City who beat Cleveland. Am concerned that Verlander had 120 pitches in 6 1/2 innings. A loss for him. At this point, when I see Phil Coke come to mound, I have to leave the room. (I like Phil. He's a great guy. But, he's lost his stuff.)

I can't imagine the Brewers trading him away.
