Jesus. Valverde. What. The. Hell.

Giants opening series against the doyers finishes with a series victory...awesome. Winning it with long ball, and a shut-down bully? Gimme more please.

Tigers lose 8-2. Twins take the series. A disastrous, shameful loss. So many men left on the bases. Again! Maybe we need Valverde after all? Ay!

Seriously dude, worrying about the closer is one of the greatest fallacies in baseball, and worrying about closer by committee is just... I don't even know.

the braves might strike out 1600 times this season as a team, but it's going to be an exciting year (i hope).

The strikeouts for the Braves won't matter this season. I tend to think that big picture strikeouts aren't as big a deal as people say (an out is an out) and that we attach more weight to them because they show the futility of an at bat but its an argument I'm less wedded to. As opposed to say, the absurd notion that a set closer is a truly important player.

Petite looked great last night. Wow. Even in the freezing cold. I really hope he can stay healthy, the Yankees need him in that rotation.tation.

Larry, the upper tier at the old Yankee stadium was scary as fuck. I remember being a kid and scared of it and then becoming an adult and STILL kinda worred about the steepness. I'm not afraid of heights and love things like roller coasters, but god damn those stairs were frighteningly steep. I saw a guy pass out on the upper tier a few rows away, security escorting him out, but EVERYONE was worried the dude would just tumble down those steps.

^seeing large newyawker tough guys doing the sidestep going up/down those upper tear steps in the old stadium is always full of lulz... but I don't blame em, I did the same exact thing.

petite must hate his family lol8[1].gif , announces retirement then retires.... realizes he still wants to play, plays for astros.... retires again... still wants to play... goes to yankees... rinse and repeat.

the funny part is how the astros are now in the AL... so that could mean he pitches until he's in his 50's (if he decides to go back to the astros)... Its almost a given he'll be a coach in the future too.
