"no doubles" defense when there is 2 outs!?!?!?! Washington's piss poor management lost this game! Rangers should have had this. My hat is off to the Cards for playing their asses off well! Cant wait for game 7!

Some really awful managerial moves by Ron Washington. Playing the outfield at the warning track on Berkman's single, pinch hitting for the pitcher in the top of the 11th. But I'll excuse it because he's so fun to watch in the dugout.

He was willing to concede the tying run to avoid giving up the winning run. I wouldn't have done the same -- I think you have to play to win the game -- but the move is understandable.

I watched the game until the 7th inning stretch, and by that time the outcome seemed pretty certain. The Cardinals just rolled over the Rangers. I enjoyed the game which was the first baseball game I've watched since childhood.

+ 2, they weren't even the best team in their division. LaRussa is a damn good manager though, I have to say when they beat the Giants a few years ago he totally outmanaged Dusty Baker, The guy knows his ****. My concern is that Ron Washington may be becoming Buck Showalter, a guy who can get you there but he can't win it.

I'm not that angry. The Rangers winning two pennants in a row is great. But why, oh why was Matt Harrison on the mound for game 7? Derek Holland could have been out there on full rest.
