I'm in until the end. What a pathetic season so far. They definitely need to address some glaring holes next year.
Could be worse. We could be the Red Sox.

Martinez coming back will be great since Avila wasn't full-strength nor up to par this year. Avila should be good to give Martinez a couple days off from catching a week. A new closer is a must, and a corner outfielder would be nice.

They won't use him at first either? That seems like a waste if they don't at least use him to give Fielder some days off at first.

Not sure about first. I assume he would play there a game or two to give prince a break but prince never misses a game

At last, the White Sox are behind us, 1 game. Hope this trend continues. Going to the ballpark this afternoon. May it not be the last home game for the year. If the Tigers or the White Sox were in any other division, they would be near the bottom. Sad.

I use to think, hands down I'd take Verlander if I wanted to start an excellent rotation, but CC's winning percentage is insane and he's still got it.

Nice work by Doug Fister today striking out 9 in a row and setting a new AL record. I'm a bit jealous of clarinetplayer getting to witness that accomplishment.

Big win for the Rangers today. I was sweating for a while during this last series.

As Ernie Harwell would have said, "Mistah Fistah!" 9 consecutive K's. An AL record. The crowd was electric.

And then, he burped it all up. 4-3. Benoit, immediately, made it 4-4.

In spite of Kansas City's 5 errors, it all came down to the last at bat for the Tigers. What a roller coaster game. What the heck is an "infield double"?????
