Here's an AJC article about the perception of Crowell by some UGA fans.  Boo'd him during the SEC championship for example.

Edit:  Here's a thread with everyone echoing the same chord:  Crowell is a problem child

Seriously, did you guys just think I made this shit up?

Seriously, did you read the AJC article you posted? He's 18 years old. Shockingly, he's done some things that have pissed off some of the fringe lunatic fans in Athens. Change the names and locations and that same article has been published this year in every college town in America. The bottom line is that the guy produced. SEC Freshman of the Year. That's how it's "working out" for UGA.

Come on man it's more than the fringe lunatic fans.  Do you think it would be worthy of an editorial if it was just the fringe minority?  Hell, you defend him more than anyone in that thread did.

I'm done with this stupid, pointless argument.  I'll just be watching to see how it plays out during the bowl game and into next year.

UGA fans boo fucking everyone. Matt Stafford got boo'd and he was the #1 NFL pick and set a bunch of UGA records.

You don't even seem to know what your argument is other than "Crowell isn't a total superbadass." He was a top recruit and he's done reasonably well. There you go. What more is there exactly? He hasn't hurt the team in any real way, and his on-field performance has been good enough to win SEC awards.

This year's QB draft class looks like the deepest since 1983. After Luck, are any of the prospects (RG3, Barkley, Jones, etc.) franchise QB material? Please give a Skins fan some hope.

You're a Skins fan. There is no hope for you so long as Daniel "The Dumbass" Snyder is running the team.

I'm not a huge fan of Landry... However, Barkley and RG3 is legit as hell. The Skins can't go wrong with any of them.

I would draft Luck and Barkley ahead of RG3 or Jones. RG3 is an amazing college QB due to his mobility and the Baylor offensive design. The NFL usually punishes mobile quarterbacks unless they havent a significant amount of size (e.g. Cam Newton, Steve McNair, Randall Cunningham). I'll be interested to see if the QBs who play on less successful teams (e.g. Nick Foles) pan out in the pro game. I imagine that at least one Flacco emerges from the group.

RG3 is 220 on a 6'1 or 6'2 frame. That's not a small dude. What sets him apart is he has great accuracy for a dual threat guy.

Who gets drafted after Luck would probably depend on the team drafting.

Speaking of Nick Foles, I watched a lot of games with him and I really like him as a middle round prospect. Let him sit for a few years and he'll be solid.

It was a weak crop this year but he was the best among them.

Luck will be the better pro but he laid eggs in the games that mattered this year, Barkley was good but his team wasn't on the radar for most of the year, and Mathieu and the other dude were just add ons that had no shot.

Crowell won't be at UGA next year.

And UGA should compete for the national championship in 2012.

You heard it here first.
