I heard a post-game comment with which I agree. The only way LSU-Alabama would be rematched in the BCS Championship is if LSU lost a close game and ran the table the rest of the way. Their only loss would be on the road to the #2 team, and they would have subsequently beaten a top-10 team (Arkansas). No way Alabama gets a second bite at the apple.
Oklahoma State would give LSU the toughest game.

OSU has no D whatsoever but there's no way they won't put up points on LSU. The Tiger's offence isn't exactly impressive either so it might actually be a better game than people think.

Stanford and Boise would both get blown out. Don't want to see them make it.

Hard to say how good OSU's D is. If you look back, most of their points against have been in the 2nd half after they have a 2+ touchdown lead (KSU being the lone exception). Sure, they gave up 34 points to Louisiana Lafayette, but only after they had established a 31-3 lead.

At this point, I'd be pretty happy with an OSU/LSU game. Could also see an OU/LSU game. A lot has to go right for Boise to get in, and Stanford has earned the opportunity to get beaten if they run the table.

I actually think that Stanford depending on their performance the rest of the season might have the best chance against LSU. OSU has the offense to keep up but their defense would get torched in the run game, Stanford I think is a better matchup just because they have the size on both their offensive and defensive lines to possibly match up against LSU. Either way I would rather see those 2 play LSU than Alabama again or Boise St. Kind of hoping Stanford loses to Oregon next week, LSU loses to Arkansas, and OSU loses to Oklahoma. Would be interesting to see who made it to the NC game if all those teams lost.

Well yeah, but sports fans do love talking about impossible matchups. The old "Jordan vs Kobe" etc type discussion is just part of sports.

So Saturday was a huge ******* disappointment for the alma mater. at least we lost to a really good NAIA team? Seriously though, not even 100 people in student section. Ouch. Part of why playing in the Dome sucks is even with huge IAA crowds it looks minuscule. And then we have bad student turnout. at least the band is playing with gusto now.

I think I want to be an SEC school president.
