Regardless of how the LSU-Alabama game turns out, I don't want to see a rematch for the BCS Championship.

Agreed. This game has been garbage. I can respect that both defenses are great, but these offenses are garbage and both have been playing scared.

The OU KS game was worth watching.

Great defenses but terrible offenses in many respects. Despite Gary and Verne's constant homerism, the proof was in the pudding watching these two offenses struggle to put something together.

Alabama's kicker isn't getting laid tonight.

Fortunately for all the QBs involved, they won't be playing any defenses nearly as good as the one on the other side of the field today. Both teams have relied on the run all year, but you gotta have the ability to go to the air to win against great D. Neither team could do that. Bama really should have won, that trick play almost worked, they had the opportunity for all those field goals and it didn't quite work out. That LSU punter is a beast though, 72 yard punt? (I know Maze screwed up the return etc, but still)

That's one of the few times I've seen a punt be the turning point of a game.

Yeah, but compared to Boise State's kicker, he's Mike Vanderjagt.

Alabama's offense would always stall and move backwards whenever they got into LSU territory. Relying on their kicker to make a trio of 50 yard field goals probably wasn't in their gameplan.

Neither do I. I lost interest and ended up doing other things rather than watching the end of the game.

I have absolutely no desire to see a rematch of that game.

It will be interesting to see how far Alabama drops in the polls. If they fall below Arkansas, the SEC continues to get more interesting.

I didn't think the game was that awful.. (still don't think there should be a rematch in the NC game). Would have been interesting to see what happened if OSU lost to Kstate. Now, based on that game, is there anyone that thinks in a 3-way tie of undefeated teams, LSU should not get a shot over either Stanford or OSU?

I heard a post-game comment with which I agree. The only way LSU-Alabama would be rematched in the BCS Championship is if LSU lost a close game and ran the table the rest of the way. Their only loss would be on the road to the #2 team, and they would have subsequently beaten a top-10 team (Arkansas). No way Alabama gets a second bite at the apple.

Oklahoma State would give LSU the toughest game.
