Based on my EWC it seems the market is bullish on the Canadian economy at the moment.

Does anyone have an understanding of how REITs having their own sector designation in the S&P may benefit holders of these securities currently?

Also YahooFinance updated their interface which I quite like.  I am a usual Google Finance guy but Yahoo has always had better information which Google has always lacked.  Well Google still considers it in Beta form.

Maybe inclusion in broader index funds that inspire purchases.

Investors think all those Republicans are going to flee to Canada after the election and build the Canadian economy.

Because they will be seeking official languages?

Poor Ackman just can't catch a break.

Yeesh.

Yeah, how about some sympathy for the poor rich guy.

Rich or poor, that doesn't invalidate any individual's hardships.

Have some empathy. That's why I no longer react to your consistently poor display of emotional intelligence. I empathize for your situation and how you came to be the person you are.

Did the big money have any sympathy for homeowners when they manipulated ratings agencies and leveraged credit default swaps exponentially? A lot of people should be in jail, but hey you can't judge, you should have empathy for the bonuses of criminals.

Ackman seeks to eviscerate the other side of every trade he makes, if you want sympathy you're barking up the wrong tree. I have my own nest egg to think about, I don't give a shit about any number of Ackmans any more than they give a shit about me.

Someone watched The Big Short.

My watch list of about 100 companies is 2/3rds red, not by much, but even the greens aren't up by much either. Biotech up slightly, oil and gas more or less flat, airlines down a little... I just trimmed off some NFLX and GILD, still holding plenty but this was most of what I bought at the Brexit drop. Cleared maybe 5-10-15% depending on what I sold today. Also bought some more Canadian indexes since all of mine are still down like 7-8% and don't seem to be going anywhere. Might as well lower my average cost, collect more dividends and get out sooner. Have sold off most of my REITS which did well but now looking around for something to buy and there's nothing I like at these levels. Gimme a pop on AAPL or something and I'm happy to cash out and wait.

I never once suggested I had empathy for the "criminals who caused the financial crisis."

All I'm saying is that Bill Ackman as an individual has had a shitty, shitty year and the pressure he must face as the owner of Pershing must me tremendous with all these losses.

That is all.

Btw, empathy and sympathy are wholly different concepts.

There is no room for either sympathy or empathy in this space.
