Set a limit order for XOM @ $71.95 this AM. I should have set the bar lower cause it flew threw my limit and keep on tumbling. I need to hurry up and open a Vanguard account and just start trickling money into a total stock market fund.

Bank of America below $7 on bankruptcy rumors.

Anyone up for a bailout?

I'm going to give you a karate chop to the head, :)

Look they're getting sued but they could pay out double the amount and still be okay. I like them if I can get them at 6.40 again. I was telling my brother to buy shares at 6.80, then I heard Obama was going to speak and I knew the market would tank soon afterwards (no slam on Obama, just happens everytime he speaks about a financial crisis.)

Hey I said it was a rumor. :)

Anyway, what do you think of the ACTC conference call today

Yeah I had it set at 72 over the weekend, cancelled all my limit orders last night thankfully. I'm hoping it goes down to $68.

I feel I should dump my AGNC shares now.. but then I'll be taking a several hundred dollar loss (yes, I'm a small-timer).

If you sell with everybody in the panic, you will join them in losing out on the rebound.

FWIW, agnc beat the market today...

Dude, its looking good, its looking damn good!! In 12 months they see sigificant increase in share holder value!!!

I've had my eye on a Isaia Charcoal suit for about 3K. I plan on buying that and a bunch of other stuff when this thing hits.

Yeah I'm debating as well. Although Goldman's forecast is not too promising for 2012 and I'm already down countless Isaia suits these past two weeks.

I'm not so worried about the % loss, but more about the smaller spread between interest rates. I was always under the impression that you dump REITs once interest rates start going up.

When it tanks, it will snap back. I'm ready for the next 12 months. I think we'll double dip for about 5 to 6 months then steadly come out of it. Just in time (not that he needs it) for an Obama reelection.

So what are you guys doing about this "crisis" I currently only hold physical silver, as I dumped my personal stocks a month ago. Please tell me why trying to short stocks is a bad idea... I'm tempted to try it...

as of today everything in my account has a negative P/L since open except google and negative YTD except for a solar stock that I have an insignificant amount of that isn't worth selling vs fees (it was the leftovers from a bunch of shares that I tendered).

of course there have been in and outs so my account isn't down itself since open...but it is getting close...
