$9.4M portfolio??

My retirement accounts are uncontrollable...IRA is already maxed and invested for the yearm and 401k is based on paychecks (although I suppose I could front-load my contributions for the year if I wanted to)...

But I have added some cash to my WiseBanyan account, and will probably keep making small adds, since their are no trading fees. These seem like the conditions where their auto-balancing and tax loss harvesting will be most useful...although I am unsure if I am set to the right risk level currently.

If anybody wants in on the WiseBanyan party, I think this link will let you bypass the invite system:
https://www.wisebanyan.com/referral/ElJMNkktm

disclaimer: I think I get some sort of non-pecuniary bonus if people use the link, but I don't really care about that...just that it lets people skip the wait-list.

No comment. This is my fun trading account, which is .5% of my total net worth.

You could have them put 100% of a paycheque (or two) until you max the year right now.

Today's market seems to have pulled the old "Puke and Rally" routine.  Whoever bought a ton between 12-1 is a winner.

Da fuq? I've never experienced anything like this in my (short) investing career.

Bs. And in the keeping it real department, the A share I bought in August is down almost 3%.

@ $9.4M I would pretty much call private banks and ask for total return swap and see what rate I can get.  A 3% rate is good enough standard of living for a long long time.  A 7-8% rate today means high counter party risks with that bank rofl.

BRK big or small is just one heart beat away from losing its Oracle of Omaha.

Check out the epic Porsche short covering + squeeze in 2008.

Today it smells like short covering

Seems like a decent opening.
