I ain't selling shit! VRX is only like 5% of my taxable portfolio. It's my spec (read: failed) play. I'll ride it out till it goes to $0 or $100.

I feel you GF. I bought into NVDA at $40 for the same reasons. Sold after brexit (I think at 46?) never dreaming it'd get this high so quickly. C'est la vie. Silver Wheaton at $18 in May, however, has been even better so I can't complain.

Your friend should quit now and walk, that is a condemning way to start off an investment career. Always best to get a little bloodied at the start rather than succeed.

I do the same as Pio and never think of the house.

I'm glad to find this thread!

I've been investing for over 3 years, I usually Buy & Hold here in Mexico and I've been practicing a lot with option trading. On April I decided to try for real and lost a few trades so I decided to go back to practice. I've been practicing for over a year, I took some seminars to learn the technical analysis and all that stuff. I've have some Straddles right now, to expire on Jan 20, 2017 with TWTR and IWM.

Question, I use TradeStation because of the commissions, someone told me that Interactive Brokers were cheaper, is that true?

IB is generally the cheapest out there for most kind of trading.

Thanks! I will need to check them out. Do they have a montlhy fee if you don't get to a certain volume of trading? Like for example, if you don't trade 50 options TradeStation charges me with $99 a month.

I don't believe so, but I think you need a 10k minimum balance to be able to open an account.

they're selling off non-core assets to reduce debt load by close to $15B, 2016 earnings guidance reaffirmed, decent drug pipeline.. I feel moderately bullish on the stock. I like Papa so far.

Only wild card I see is the criminal probe. If that clears or if the penalty isn't so high as to be crippling, I could see this stock being around $50 by year's end and maybe $100 in two years.

I'm also sitting on an inordinate amount of cash.. transferred some more to my brokerage so I'm not at like 60% cash. Could stand to deploy some of that here and there.

Up here we have a saying: as soon as anything gets to a larger mkt cap than RBC...sell it.

Nortel. This.

Can't speak to movements lately though. Prime opp or BLackBerry death rattle?

Where did you see $16B of debt reduction?

Interesting view on the criminal probe.

Interesting view on the criminal probe.

Took a look at their earnings transcript -- $5B, not $16B. My bad shog[1].gif

What's your take on the probe?

Stock is up 9% in pre-market trading but I don't know on what news..
