Here in the states, C&J handgrade are about $400 less than EG's--do you think that EG's are THAT much better in quality than C&J? IMO, any difference in quality isn't worth EG's significantly higher price. Style preference is another matter.

Yes, agree. As a dyed-in-the-wool Yorkshireman (we're mean old skinflints who hate to part with our hard earned 'brass' - even meaner than the Scots), I want to know exactly what I'd get for my £280 if I went down the MTO 'H' route. All told, £400 for a RTW C&J 'H' is good value.

With Pediwear's price match to Plal, handgrades can be had for just under £300 (instead of the typical retail of £400).

Yes. Quality may not be that much better. But the lasts are.
